Who we are
BagsID International B.V., Beechavenue 30, 1119 PV Schiphol-Rijk, The Netherlands, is the controller for personal information processed in connection with this public website and enquiries sent to us. Contact info@bagsid.com about this notice or your rights.
This notice covers our marketing website. Customer dashboards and baggage-processing deployments are separate services with their own processing arrangements and applicable notices. Do not send passenger records, identity documents or sensitive personal information in a general enquiry.
Information, sources and purposes
- Enquiries: when you email us, you provide your email address, name, organisation, contact details and anything included in your message or attachments. We use this to respond, discuss your requirements and manage business correspondence.
- Technical information: visiting a hosted website sends an IP address and request information to its hosting service. Microsoft Azure hosts this site. Depending on hosting configuration, operational and security logs may include IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, referring page and errors. These support delivery, security and troubleshooting.
The public site has no contact submission form, CRM integration, payment checkout, advertising pixels or visitor analytics scripts. Images and videos are served with the site. The Login link takes you to the separate customer service.
GDPR legal bases
Ordinary business enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and managing business relationships. Where you request steps necessary to enter a contract with us personally, that processing may instead be necessary for those pre-contractual steps. Operating and securing the website serves our legitimate interests in providing a reliable service. Records required by law are processed to meet the relevant legal obligation.
Browsing this website is not consent to marketing or tracking. If a separate activity requires consent, we must ask separately; you can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Recipients and international processing
Information may be accessible to authorised BagsID personnel and providers supporting website hosting and email delivery. Microsoft Azure provides hosting; correspondence is handled through our email service. Disclosure may also be necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The countries involved depend on the services and their configuration. Transfers outside the EEA must meet GDPR transfer requirements, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses. Contact us for the arrangements and safeguards applicable to your information.
Retention
Retention is determined by the purpose: resolving and following up an enquiry, maintaining an ongoing business relationship, statutory recordkeeping duties, or investigating security incidents and legal claims. Personal information should not be retained longer than necessary for those purposes. Contact us about the retention applicable to your correspondence or technical information, or to request deletion.
Your GDPR rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and object to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
Email info@bagsid.com or write to the address above. Explain your request and the information it concerns. We may request proportionate identity verification; do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month, with extensions only where permitted and explained. Requests are generally free, subject to statutory exceptions.
You may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us first.
California privacy rights
The information categories relevant to this site are identifiers and contact details, business correspondence, and internet or network activity information described above. Sources are you and your browser or device. Purposes and recipient categories are described above. We do not sell personal information for advertising. This public website has no advertising technology that shares visitor information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies, eligible California residents can request to know and access their personal information, correct inaccuracies and request deletion, subject to exceptions. They can opt out of sale or sharing and limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where those activities occur. We do not request sensitive personal information through this public website. Exercising applicable rights must not result in unlawful discrimination.
Submit requests to info@bagsid.com or the postal address above. Authorised agents may submit requests; proportionate verification of identity and authority may be required for access, correction or deletion. Where the CCPA applies, requests to know, correct or delete are normally acknowledged within 10 business days and answered within 45 calendar days, with any permitted extension explained. Sale/sharing opt-out requests do not require identity verification.
Browser privacy signals and cookies
This public website does not track browsing across other websites or include third-party advertising trackers. Its behaviour stays the same whether Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled or disabled: no advertising tracking or sale/sharing through the site is enabled. See our cookie policy for browser storage information.
Children and automated decisions
This business information website is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. The public site does not make automated decisions about visitors that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes and contact
Updates will be posted here with a revised date. Where required, we will give additional notice before materially different processing begins. For questions, requests or corrections, contact info@bagsid.com.
