Bag Bridge
The BagBridge product suite is an advanced AI-driven baggage identification solution designed to complement current automatic tag readers (ATRs) in airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS). BagBridge provides a more efficient, accurate, and tag-independent baggage identification solution within the BHS.
Capturing the Bag
At the start of the process, for example bag drop, BagBridge captures several photos from different angles to create the new digital twin.
Identifying the Bag
As the bag progresses through the BHS the cameras continually identify the bag and track the progress.
Following the Bag
Integrated with the LPN structure of the industry standard, the system can provide insight into the existing BHS to provide additional accuracy and resilience to the system.
Industry Standards
The BagBridge product is fully aligned with industry standards to limit the disruption and enable a short-term integration into current operations. BagBridge connects the baggage journey from check-in to destination.
Currently the industry operates with approximately 95% accuracy throughout the baggage handling systems. This leads to millions of bags requiring manual intervention to update and ensure the bags can be handled correctly.
Sometimes this happens without disruption to the flight, some delay the on time performance and others cause passengers to arrive at their destination without their bags. Beyond the on time performance it also reduces the recirculation frequency across the system.
